I was born and raised in a Christian home. As I grew up, I did my best to follow what I learned from my parents and my church, but my relationship with God was elementary. Around 12, I was tasked with the assignment to read the Bible daily and journal what I learned. I went from being a foreigner to studying God’s Word, to loving it and relying on it to guide me and inform my life choices. After college, I decided that I wanted to go full time into the music business as a recording engineer.  As I worked with artists and musicians from all walks of life, I got to see many ways of life other than one of following Jesus. What I saw from people “living the dream” was more heartache and trouble than joy and contentment. Time and time again, I kept finding that there was no better life than following God and using my life to serve Him and others.

Fast forward to now, and I have found nothing to have changed in regard to that matter. It is an honour to know God and be known by Him. It’s still unbelievable and amazing to me that the creator of the universe would sacrifice himself to take the punishment that I deserved and in exchange give life, relationship, hope, peace, and the promise of heaven with him. 1 Peter 1:3-5 says it so well:

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
